Background

The Pan American Student Loan Conference is an international event organized by the World Bank and Universia, aiming to expose the present situation and the world tendencies on educational loan that could be applied in Latin America.

Experts and prominent  authorities on student loan policies will participate in the conference, thus creating the perfect environment to exchange opinions, establish contacts and get information that will favor the institutions, companies or governments that will take part in the event.

Currently there are around 14 million Latin American university students. According to different studies, this number will rise to 20 million in 2010, turning student loans into a necessity so that millions of people have the opportunity to get an access to tertiary education.

The conference will take place at Swissôtel in Lima - Peru on March 22nd and 23rd, 2007.
